Reviews
It's a lovely place to eat and have a few drinks. The menu is compact but it gives you a good choice. Great atmosphere and the staff are very nice. The only negative is that when busy it feels rather loud when you're just there for a meal. However, if you're enjoying the cocktails I'm sure you wouldn't even notice the noise. Overall it's a great place to gom
Friendly staff, good food, nice atmosphere… Thin White Duke is somewhat of a hidden gem, those who know about it, KNOW about it! We had booked a table for 2pm on Saturday and I’m glad we did, almost every table was taken - we got given a table downstairs which is so much more chilled and a nicer, almost holiday-esque environment. Our servers were all really friendly, smiley and chatty - we also didn’t have to wait long for our drinks to come. The menu is fantastic and there’s a wide range of meals on there, for this visit I opted for their super popular chicken is a basket and my partner went for the crispy mac and cheese wrap with chips. The food took a little while to arrive but that was to be expected given how busy it was. Our food arrived looking fantastic, the chicken in a basket is brilliant - the fries are delicious, especially when dipped in the chicken gravy which in itself is gorgeous! The chicken wasn’t quite as crispy as I would’ve preferred but it was still tasty! We then got our bill which was quite a good price actually, the food was all priced really well! The only surprise was that the Coke’s were around £4 each which I think is a bit steep - that being said; it is a city centre restaurant so prices do tend to be a bit higher.
Food was ok , would add a dash of sauce though without making the customer pay 4£ for it . Had the Flat Iron stake and a pint of the Hawkshead Great White . All was good , service was excellent, a blonde girl looked after my table , she was friendly and professional. Place was looking very nice and clean , great architecture.
Excellent food! The fish and chips was very good nice crispy batter and proper chunky chips. The key lime pie was the best dessert ever. Staff brilliant very friendly. Excellent beer choices too.
Great pub, bit of a tardis to be honest, it looks pretty small from the outside but it's got a few floors, loads of seating for food. We called in on the off chance of grabbing some decent food and it did NOT disappoint. Food was delicious, service was quick, Staff were lovely what more can you ask for. Interior downstairs was a bit quirky, it was alot quiter than upstairs, which was an added bonus. 2 Sunday dinners and a sticky toffee pudding with ice cream to share, 2 pints of larger and 1 pint of coke cost 50 quid. Only downside for me, was there wasn't enough gravy,
